Become a Premium Member and Release the Power of Plio

You have completed you online portfolio and you have learnt about its basic features and benefits.

 

If you are a student, if you are starting to explore your artistic voice or if you just want to try out our service, then you are all set. Plio’s free membership lets you exhibit your work online, manage your content, participate in the community and nourish your practice.

 

However if you are a professional artist you will find that an extended version of Plio will better fulfill your needs. Let’s take a look at some of the Premium benefits:

 

  • A stand-alone domain name is best for presenting yourself professionally by putting you, and only you, in spotlight.

  • Extend your storage space to accommodate a larger quantity of content.

    •  

  • Get rid of Sponsored Links on your public website.
  • Gain exclusive access to Premium themes to respond to your particular needs and unique personality.

    •  

  • Customize further by editing the stylesheet. If you know your way around web design, you might be happy to know that you can touch up the CSS to further personalize the chosen theme.

  • Reorganize the main navigation by creating custom menus.

    •  

  • Create discussion groups and forums directly related to your practice and interests.

Stage 1: Upgrade Your Membership

 

  1. In your dashboard, go to the Plio Premium menu.

    2.  

    PayPal
    You need a PayPal account to go Premium.
    If you don’t have one, you can create one by clicking the “Create a PayPal Account” button.
    If you can’t have one because you don’t have a credit card or you’re from a country that is not supported by PayPal, please click the “Subscribe Manually” button and follow the instructions that relate to your case.

     

  2. If you have a valid discount coupon, click the “I have a coupon” checkbox, enter it in the “Coupon code” field and click the “Apply Coupon” button.

    3.  

  3. Click the “Subscribe” button so you’re redirected to PayPal’s secured payment site.

    4.  

  4. Follow PayPal’s instructions by logging in your PayPal account and confirming your purchase. Feel comfortable, it’s absolutely secured.

    5.  

  5. Once you’re redirected back to Plio’s site, you’re noticed your subscription is successful. Congratulations, you’re now a Premium member!

    6.  

  6. Check your inbox as you should have received 2 emails from Plio (confirmation and receipt) and 2 others from PayPal (first payment and annual subscription).

 

Plio Plus
If you are not ready to go Premium, you can upgrade your membership to Plio Plus and extend your storage space and get rid of the sponsored links.

 

Stage 2: Select Your Premium Theme

 

To ensure diversity of style and originality Plio’s ongoing strategy is to invite various creative directors to design the readymade themes that are offered to you. Like that, more themes will be available over time.

 

  1. Go to the Appearence menu.

  2. Browse the list of Premium themes that are now available to you.

    3.  

  3. Click the “Preview” link of every theme and see what your portfolio looks like with those themes.

    4.  

  4. Once you’ve found the theme that suits best your artwork, “Activate” it and enjoy it!

    5.  

  5. See in the header of the page if there’s a warning message and read it carefully, you might need to regenerate your thumbnails. This happens when thumbnail size changes from one them to another. If so, just click the link and regenerate them.

 

Note: You may change your theme at any time. If after 2 minutes or 2 years you think your portfolio deserves a relooking, or if you like our newly released Premium theme, just do it!

 

Stage 3: Get Your Personal Domain Name

 

If you already have a personal domain name that you want to use for your Plio site, please submit a Premium Support request by mentioning this exact domain name. You shall be answered with the required procedure shortly.

 

If you would like to order a domain name through Plio, please check the availability of the domain name at gandi.net and then submit a Premium Support request by mentioning it. Your new domain name shall be setup within a couple of days.

 

To submit a Premium Support request for your domain name:

 

  1. Go to the Plio Premium > Premium Support menu.

    2.  

  2. Enter your domain name and mention if you already own it or if you’d like us to purchase it for you. It’s included in your Premium membership, you won’t pay anything additional!

    3.  

  3. Click the “Submit Request” button and we’ll get back to you.

 

Note: Even if purchased with Plio, your domain name belongs to you and to you only. We just take care of administering it and paying it for you while you’re a Plio Premium member.
